There were two words that we heard over and over on our September trip to Disney World. And those two words were… ”Happy Birthday”! Thanks to the birthday button our 16 year old wore, Disney cast members would wish her a happy birthday as she passed. It made the week so special, and getting free birthday desserts didn’t hurt either:)

We were up early to catch our 8:30am flight to Orlando! Before we knew it we were landing in Orlando, and making our way to catch the Magical Express. There was a full bus ready to leave, and we managed to get the last 3 seats. We were on our way to All Star Music, our home for the next 6 nights. Let the Birthday Celebration begin!

After we got checked into our hotel room, we grabbed a quick bite to eat, and then headed to Hollywood Studios to get our first look at Galaxy’s Edge. And it did not disappoint!! We spent some time exploring before we hopped in line to board the Millenium Falcon. I was a Gunner on our first smugglers run, Ryan and Addy were both Engineers. How was it, you ask? Well to quote our daughter, it was “Super, Duper, Fun”!

We had a Fast Pass for Star Tours, so we said goodbye to Batuu, and headed that way. Surprisingly, I had never been on Star Tours. Addy was the Rebel Spy! Next it was time for our next Fast Pass, and one of my favorites, Toy Story Midway Mania. Between the three of us, I had the lowest score. We will call that my warmup round! Had to squeeze in Muppet Vision 3D, before heading to Docking Bay 7 for dinner.

Docking Bay 7, in Galaxy’s Edge, was such a cool, themed space. We sat in a Cargo Crate to eat our delicious meal. We ordered the Roasted Endorian Tip-yip Salad, the Fried Endorian Tip-Yip, and the Batuu-Bon for dessert! I would definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try. After dinner we took another trip on the Millennium Falcon. This time Ryan and I were the Engineers, and Addy got to be the Gunner.

The Batuu-bon was almost to pretty to eat…almost:)

We had a little more time before the park closed, so we headed over to Toy Story Midway Mania for another round. And then we stopped in at the Star Wars Launch Bay to check on Darth Vader and Chewbacca. Great interaction with both characters. To finish out the night, Ryan and Addy stepped inside the abandoned shaft of the Tower Hotel to be dropped a couple of times. I sat that one out, and opted instead to people watch while waiting to see if they would return;)

They survived their visit to the Tower of Terror!

We were definitely off to a good start. Next we are headed to Magic Kingdom! Thanks for following along on our magical Sweet Sixteen Birthday Trip.
